"I believe strong public schools are the foundation of healthy families, a vibrant community and a thriving economy.
This belief drives every decision I make."
Hello, neighbors -
My name is Laura McCoy and I am asking for your vote for re-election to the Green Bay School Board on April 7.
I am a strong voice for public education, a long-time resident and active member of our community, and the proud mom of two East High School graduates.
During my three terms on the Green Bay School Board, I have served as Legislative Liaison, Treasurer and President. I have represented our district as part of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards Policy & Resolution Committee and actively participated in district committees, task forces and work groups on issues ranging from school safety to sustainability.
Within our community, I have served on the boards of my neighborhood association, the Northeastern Wisconsin Dance Organization and the Brown County Historical Society, as well as Vice Chair of the Brown County Human Services Board.
My broad experience on the school board as well as the collaborative relationships I have built in the district, community and across the state are foundational in my role as an effective advocate for our students, families, staff and schools.
Our students, families and staff deserve a compassionate, committed champion for public schools. Our community expects a fiscally responsible leader who won't shy away from tough decisions. I am that champion and that leader.
With your vote, I hope to continue the important work of providing every student and family in the Green Bay School District with an equitable, safe and high-quality public school education.

In my three terms as a Green Bay School Board member, I have developed a strong track record of advocating for our students and families, our staff and our district.
GBAPS students deserve safe, nurturing schools and a quality education. As a three-term school board member, this is my focus each and every time I come to the board table.
The Green Bay Area Public Schools are facing some significant changes and important opportunities in the near future. As a three-term board member, I am ready and willing to make the smart choices and tough decisions needed to set our students and district on a path to success.
I believed it when I first ran for Green Bay School board in 2016 and I believe it even more today - strong public schools are the foundation of healthy families, a vibrant community and a thriving economy. If I am re-elected, that belief will continue to drive every decision I make.
